Sinker Creek

What rank/ merit badges do you want to work on or complete? Or maybe, you want to improve your outdoor skills? Plan ahead for a great weekend of fun and many accomplishments. And, we will find out who cooks the best - adult leaders or Scouts?

Sinker Creek

You need to have a day pack with water, lunch, limited amount of healthy snacks, and gear needed the weekend activities.

Meet at FPC 9 am Saturday.

Pete - campfire including flag retiring

Matt and Galen - first aid

Jonah - fire building

Peter - knots and lashings

Keola - bridge building

Pete and Jonah - night games

Daniel and Joseph - menu and food for their patrols

Galen - lunch for adults on Saturday

Scouts will be hiking in using map and compass. A few will be setting up camp while others hike. During the day, Scouts will be working on skills and knowledge of archery, fire building, orienteering, survival, first aid, knots and lashings, cooking, and more.

What should we pack? The weather is forecasted to be the 50's during the day and 30's at night. Layers, layers, layers is the key. One jacket is not good but a jacket, sweaters, and warm base clothing is best. You can always add/ remove a layer as needed.

A pack for the night / backup gear and a day pack for hiking around the desert. See Scout handbook or the troop's green gear card.

Scout book and merit badge materials are always a must. Scout class B for the day. Class A uniform in the pack.

Bow and Arrows. Please check with Brian. Your equipment needs to be in a case and left in the vehicles unless being used during practice time.
